Website Design and Development
2021
Since 30 years the city magazine kreuzer keeps Leipzig residents informed over the latest events and reports over the local politics and life in the vibrant German city. Following the recent redesign of the printed publication, I was commissioned to design and develop the interface of its online counterpart.
The project required a complete reorganization of the website’s content structure, which had grown organically over many years. I collaborated closely with the team to audit existing content and create a more coherent architecture.
I then designed a modern web interface to echo the visual identity of the printed magazine, while building a clear navigation system to support the site’s complex structure. A core feature of the redesign is the events page, which lists daily happenings across the city and allows users to filter by category, time, and address. Additionally to the design work, I developed the frontend implementation using HTML, CSS (Sass), JavaScript, and Vue.js.
